Transition Assistance
Arrow knows that leaving or changing employment, making life transitions or suddenly having to make decisions can be a stressful experience. If for whatever reason you may be transitioning off your current employer’s group plan, we hope to make things easier for you when it comes to maintaining important coverage.
We will make you aware of all your options, such as:
- Your employer may have an obligation to offer continuation of coverage such as COBRA, or under a provision in your policy/policies that allows you to continue your existing coverage if you pay for it.
- You may be eligible for plans subsidized through the state or federal government such as Medicare or through the Maryland Health Connection.
- You may have coverage available through your spouse/domestic partner.
- You may qualify for plans under a parent’s policy if you’re under age 26.
How do you know which option is best for you?
We are licensed insurance brokers happy to help you understand all the features, details and important considerations of any plans you’re comparing so you can make informed decisions.
Keep in mind that the type of coverage (and certain lines of coverage) you may have access to under your employer’s group plan may be different from what you will have access to if buying insurance on your own. Let’s make sure you don’t leave valuable coverage behind if you are able to take it with you! To schedule a call for transition assistance, click here.
